Is The Universe Boundless?

Today, we live in a busy world where everyone is busy, working day and night for the ‘human luxuries’ like a house, food, good job, good college, more wealth, etc. This list of all their desires keeps on growing eventually with time. Let’s take a moment from our ‘busy’ schedule to ponder upon this ‘small’ world where we live and ask ourselves, is the world really that small as we think it of?

There is one old saying that ‘we live in a small world’. Let’s take a look if this world is really that small! Over time, we humans have become more and more advance in terms of our knowledge and have evolved our technologies to such a large extent, that at present time, we are now able explore beyond our planet, escaping into the vast, never-ending universe. Starting from the big bang back around 13.8 million years ago, our universe has continued to expand and is still expanding. According to Scientists, there is a presence of a kind of energy that acts in opposition to gravity and is called dark energies. Scientists postulated that the presence of these dark energies in the space is causing our universe not only to expand but also to accelerate in this process. There are millions of planets present out there in the space. There even exist millions of other galaxies which are billions of light-years away from us.

Till now, you might have heard this term in some movies and science fiction comics, but the main question is, is multi-universe exist for real? Till date, there are many theories about the existence of the parallel universe and many studies are still going to know more about our universe. according to some scientists, as atoms (the sub-particles

) tend to repeat its arrangements, it won’t be wrong to say that it is possible to have infinite number of universes. This arrangement theory can be easily understood with the help of an example of playing cards. When you shuffle the deck of cards, you get a new set, but after a certain time, you might start getting repeated set of cards in the deck as it has crossed the total number of possibilities of a set. The same goes for the arrangements of sub-particles. There is also a theory that states our universe is one of the bubbles in the network of thousands of bubbles, thus giving infinite possibilities of the universe. As there is no shape of spacetime, there may exist an alternate reality for all the decisions we made till now. Doesn’t it sound enthralling? Imagine getting a chance to see what you would have been according to the decision you might had made? Yet all this thing remains a ‘possibility’. No firm evidence has been found yet, but still, the answer for the existence of multiverse remains the same, that is, who knows? This is just a small glimpse of how big our universe is. We only know just about 4% of the whole universe. Still a very large and significant portion of the universe is yet to be explored. Comparing the sizes of all the planets and galaxies, we humans might seem too small creatures in this whole universe, right?

Space doesn’t just consist of planets, stars, and galaxies, it’s much more than that! As we advance in technology, it might be possible to give answers to all our questions in the coming future. At last, we can only say that space is big, really big! It just hard to believe how vast and mind-bogglingly big it is!
