Today, let’s talk about something that each one of us faces in their day to day life. It’s not something about science or some political hot topics or some art works. It’s something that we humans generally do when we feel low or things don’t work out in the way we supposed it to be. Particularly, I’m talking about our habit of grumbling about our luck or why the life isn’t fair to us.

We humans are complicated. At one moment, we rejoice at our good fortune, and in next, we complain about the same. Actually, the thing is we are becoming more and more materialistic. The more we are advancing in science and technology, the more we desire to be the part of that technology. By this statement, I didn’t mean that there is something wrong to be a part of the modern world and its technologies, but crying over something that we don’t have access to, and blaming our life and fortune for that isn’t right either. In our way of achieving what we want and what others expect from us, we certainly have obliterated the things we have.

There are so many things which we take for granted every day. These aren’t some materialistic things like money or some other things which we humans desire for. I’m talking about something much subtle and yet salient, which we generally overlook until and unless we came across such situations that makes us realize about the paramount role they play in our life. Health, safety, peace and harmony are some examples of these. Just for a minute imagine yourself to be present in a country where a war is going on,

where times are perilous, lives are threatened and people live in fear. Its only when we look at life from the perspective of being at risk, we begin to question all these things. When life is under threat, we priorities depending upon what we care for the most at that situation, putting safety, friends and family above all wealth and material gains. It’s the only time we realize how beautiful and precious our life is and how thankful we should be for what we have right now.

At the end, I just want to conclude with a short message from my side. Things like peace, harmony and our life matter much more as compared to other materialistic things present out there. Be grateful for what you have. Life isn’t about being successful at each and every step. Yes, you will face failure at some point of your life and this might even break you from inside, but this doesn’t mean we just sit idly and blame our luck and think ‘why life isn’t fair to me?’ instead, be proud for the things you have already achieved. Yes, I know it’s easier said than done but being proud for what you have accomplished and grateful to what you have is better than crying over our failures.
